1. These terms

This website is published by Venter & Venter Attorneys Inc. (registration number 2016/231680/21), a firm of attorneys practising in the Republic of South Africa. By using the site you accept these terms.

2. The site is not legal advice

Everything on this website is general information about the work the firm does. It is not legal advice, and it does not take your circumstances into account. Law changes, and the application of law to a set of facts is rarely obvious.

Do not act, or refrain from acting, on the strength of anything you read here. Speak to an attorney about your own matter first.

3. No attorney–client relationship

Using this site, sending the contact form, or emailing the firm does not make you a client. An attorney–client relationship arises only once we have checked for conflicts, confirmed in writing that we accept the mandate, and agreed the terms of engagement with you.

Until then, what you send us is not privileged. Please do not send confidential material.

4. Time limits

Many legal claims fall away if they are not brought in time. Prescription periods and statutory notice periods — including those that apply to Road Accident Fund claims and to claims against organs of state — are strict. Nothing on this site should be relied on to work out a deadline. Get advice early.

5. Accuracy and availability

We keep this site as accurate and current as we reasonably can, but we give no warranty that it is complete, correct or up to date, and we do not undertake that it will always be available.

6. Links to other sites

Where we link to a third-party website, we do so for convenience. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content.

7. Copyright
